Baccarat variations

Baccarat is a card game played at casinos around the world. The rules are simple – players bet against each other and the banker wins or loses the amount wagered by taking cards from a shoe in an attempt to match a hand of three cards. This variation of the game is known as French Baccarat. In France, Baccarat is a very popular game. If you want to play it in a casino, then you should know some basics. But before you start playing, here’s a quick guide to winning tips and strategies for Baccarat. Let’s see in the article below some of the important information about baccarat variations.

Punto Banco

With this one, there is no banker wagering period before cashing out. As soon as all bets are in on hand 1 and hand 2, a third card is dealt and immediately the player who has the highest value bet wins. However, if the third card was a 9, then the punto banco may be re-dealt to determine which side gets paid.

Progression de Credit

This variant of the game begins with two hands (the banker’s hands and the dealer’s hands), each having 18 cards. All bets are placed on those two hands. When the final hand comes up, the highest valued hand will win, regardless of its suit. And if the final hand turns out to be a straight flush, then they pay out the entire pot, even after deducting taxes. However, if the final hand is not worth more than 7 points, then the money is returned to the player. Note that when both hands turn out to have the same score, the banker pays off only half of the pot.

Double Shuffle Rule

Both hands are shuffled together and the players take their first two cards face down. The next round involves betting on those two cards being dealt face up. Once again, the best hand wins. The banker can choose whether to shuffle the deck after this round or leave them in order.

Chemin de Fer

In this version of the game, the whole deck is dealt with all at once. After that, deals in pairs occur with the remaining cards. The winner plays the role of a banker while the loser takes his/her money back. There are many things to consider while playing chemin de fer, the most important being that every time a dealer deals a hand, he/she must place chips on the table. Every chip represents 5 Euros. Also, the minimum bet depends on where you’re playing but normally ranges between 10 cents and 100 euros per hand.

Banker Hand

In this type of baccarat, only the banker’s cards count toward determining how much money each player needs to make. One point is awarded for 8, 9, Ace, King, Queen, Jack, Ten and Seven depending on whether the banker’s hand is higher or lower. Any number less than eight makes the banker lose.

Mini baccarat

Mini baccarat is another name for the game called ‘European Baccarat’. It has just five decks of cards and the maximum bet is €10 per hand. As compared to regular Baccarat, Mini-Baccarat is played without any banker or dealer hands. You put your money directly into the shoe to bet on a single pair (or better). Unlike normal Baccarat, in mini Baccarat, the high card always trumps the low. That means that if you get a 4-spot, you’ll beat a 3-spot.

Macau baccarat

Macau Baccarat is also known as Shanghai Baccarat. It’s the most popular form of the game in Asia because it doesn’t require any special skills from the newbie gambler – aside from basic math skills and good luck. Most games in Macau feature two tables, six seats and three decks of cards. Each seat is assigned a marker that indicates the amount wagered by the previous player.

dragon tiger

Dragon Tiger is an interesting variation of blackjack which features four decks of cards instead of 52. Different rules come with the variant such as doubling down, splitting pairs, etc. Another cool thing about Dragon Tiger is that you don’t need to play against other gamblers; you can challenge the computer instead. And since the game offers a wide variety of options, no two games will ever be the same.

European baccarat

European Baccarat is similar to standard Baccarat except that there are fixed odds of 1-2.4% instead of 0.8%. Besides the difference in the payout percentage, the biggest difference between the two versions is that in European Baccarat, the house never stands to gain or lose. On the contrary, the player always loses in case of error. To avoid errors, European Baccarat players may use complex strategies such as Card Counter System.

Pai Gow Poker

This poker game originated in China. Like Texas Hold ’em, you’ll want to bet on the outcome of the showdown. The difference is that there are four decks of cards used instead of two, meaning you are likely to see more hands.

In conclusion, the history of Baccarat dates back to 18th century France, although it was originally developed in Venice. During its early years, Baccarat became quite famous mainly because of Duke Louis Phillip who loved the game so much that he made sure everyone could experience what he enjoyed.
